US shipping re-opens & new tariffs
US shipping has re-opened! My local postal system (PostNord) has finally implemented a way to collect tariffs to abide by the new policies implemented by the US government. The new policies mean that US customers have to pay additional fees when buying products from abroad.
What's new for US customers?
At checkout, you will see a new line item called "Duties" which indicates how much you will have to pay in tariff fees. The amount is dependent on what you buy since all items are taxed differently.
What happens to the duties?
You as the customer will pay the duties at checkout. I collect this amount, which I then have to pay to PostNord. PostNord then sends this amount back to the US government.
In summary, this is where your tariff money goes:
Customer --> Me (the business) --> PostNord --> US Government
Please let me be clear that the tariffs are out of my control, and the only way for me to send shipments to the US right now is to collect the tariff ahead of time for you to avoid shipping issues.
